Social prescribing has gained increasing interest in recent years, accelerated by the development and implementation of a national policy through the NHS in the UK as well as efforts from community based organisations in Australia, Canada, Singapore, the United States of America, the Netherlands and Sweden. In Australia the Royal College of General Practitioners and Consumer Health Forum developed a comprehensive report of their Social Prescribing Roundtable held in November 2019.

We are delighted that James will be presenting the Comprehensive Model for Personalised Care with a focus on social prescribing and community-based support and will be supported by a panel of speakers from across health disciplines in Australia to discuss the current challenges, exacerbated by Covid-19, the opportunities as well as social prescribing case studies presented by Inala Health (QLD) and IPC Health (VIC).

This event will be led and facilitated by Professors Nancy Baxter and Rob Moodie, Head and Deputy Head of the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health.
