Women In Global Health Australasia is based in Melbourne, on Wiradjuri land. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we are based, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging.
Our vision for Women In Global Health Australasia is to promote and encourage gender equality in health leadership, ensuring this incorporates diversity across all backgrounds. We will strengthen networks in our region and will support regional capacity to develop gender equality. Women In Global Health Australasia will be formally launched as a chapter of Women In Global Health in 2020.
This Australasian chapter will be the first of its kind in our region, and with support from a wider network of dynamic women leaders in global health from Australia and New Zealand, our chapter will support activities that promote the inclusion of rural women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, and Maori and Pacific Islander women working in global health.
